Industrial action to affect London Northwestern Railway / West Midlands Railway on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August

Description

A significantly reduced service will be in place on the London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway networks on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August due to industrial action taking place by members of the TSSA union.

Please check before you travel, and be prepared for disruption to journey.

You can check your journey for Friday 31 July using using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner. If you are wishing to travel on Saturday 1 August, the reduced timetable is not yet reflected. Please check back closer to the time of travel.

London Northwestern Railway:

Friday:

A limited service will be in operation on the following routes only:

• 2 trains per hour will operate between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street

• 1 train per hour will operate between London Euston and Crewe

• 2 trains per hour will operate between London Euston and Birmingham New Street via Northampton

• 2 trains per hour will operate between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central

• 1 trains per hour will operate between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey

• 1 trains per hour will operate between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent

No trains will run past 19:00, with final departures significantly earlier.

There will be no service on the Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley.

Saturday:

A limited service will be in operation on the following routes only:

• 2 trains per hour will operate between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street

• 1 train per hour will operate between London Euston and Crewe

• 2 trains per hour will operate between London Euston and Birmingham New Street via Northampton

• 2 trains per hour will operate between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central

• 1 trains per hour will operate between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey

• 1 trains per hour will operate between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent

Services will start later than usual from 07:00. Early morning services will not run.

There will be no service on the Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley.

West Midlands Railway:

Friday:

A limited service will be in operation on the following routes only:

• 4 trains per hour will operate on the Cross City line between Bromsgrove / Redditch and Lichfield Trent Valley via Birmingham New Street

• 2 trains per hour will operate between Walsall and Wolverhampton via Birmingham New Street

• 2 trains per hour will operate between Birmingham International and Rugeley Trent Valley via Birmingham New Street

No trains will run past 19:00, with final departures significantly earlier.

The following routes will have no service:

• All routes via Birmingham Snow Hill

• Camp Hill line between Kings Norton and Birmingham New Street

• Between Leamington Spa and Nuneaton

• Between Hereford and Birmingham New Street

• Between Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street

Saturday:

Alternative travel options:

If you hold a ticket for travel on a train which has been cancelled, you can return it to your point of purchase for a full refund. You will not be charged an administration fee to do this.

Alternatively, tickets dated for travel on Friday 31 July or Saturday 1 August can be used on an alternative London Northwestern Railway or West Midlands Railway service from Thursday 30 July, and remain valid up to and including Tuesday 4 August.

This applies to customers completing their entire rail journeys using London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway services, as well as to journeys to, from or via both operators involving other connecting train operators.
